addiction.

I think this blog just might be my new addiction. I feel like I am adding and changing things and I have hardly written blogs. I will get to it in time, right:) It was fun making a play list though. Thank you Heather for telling me how to get it on my blog.

Newbe.

I am new to the elementary school mom thing. I have no Idea where things are, what I am suppose to do, where my boundaries are as "mom"...etc. I do feel better after meeting Kekoa's Teachers at open house last night but I do not like feeling this way! I wish I could just walk in an know exactly what to do and what my role is, I am not liking the newbe thing!

First blog!

I'm not sure if it is because I have watched too much TV that has people blogging or I just need something, besides Myspace, to let family and friends in on whats going on at our house. Our life, combined with everyone's, is so hectic that I wanted to simplify things. So I am here telling everyone what goes on at the Lycett house.

Kekoa is five now and the things hes says and does makes me smile. I want to share that with you. For example...

I picked up the neighborhood kids at the bus stop this afternoon, normal Tuesday, but today Kekoa saw Pierce outside. (neighbor kid, one of his BFF's) Pierce has been out of town for a couple of weeks, Kekoa has missed him. But he was home and this is what was said...

(kekoa)"Pierce! How was your bacationg?" (not a spelling error that's how he said it)

(Pierce) "It was good"

(Kekoa) "I missed you! Come here and give me a Hug"

(kekoa runs over to pierces house, they hug, Kekoa tryes to pick up Pierce with his hug, and they both fall down in the grass)

(Pierce) "I missed you too"

It was so cute watching the two of them. I know how special a neighbor friend is, I still am very close to my Neighborhood friend from childhood. Although now we drink wine and talk about life, I remember playing horses and eating string cheese.

Funny how watching Kekoa with his BFF makes me think of my childhood and still BFF! (Love you Jess:)
