Surprise!

This is what I have been up to...
Ive been planning (with help) Don's (Kai's dad's) Surprise birthday party. We (his kids) wanted to take him wine tasting in the Dundee area. We booked a limo to do the driving, since he had only been in one in his life. (to the airport in Oct. '08.) What he didn't know is we were planning to have the party set up ready to go at his house when we got back. It was hard to figure out how to do this without him knowing, but I guess its not hard to fool and OLD MAN! (LOL) When the limo pulled up and everyone was in the driveway. His response, "What the hell are all these people doing in my driveway!" I'm so glad he was surprised:)

I put together a slide show of pictures of Don, these are some of the older ones;)

Christmas in a wink.

Holidays.

It has been a busy holiday season. It started with the "Arctic Blast." School was out a week early and Kekoa was sad he wasn't going to go to school. Funny how different it is with the older kids vs. the little kids who still enjoy school. With all the snow Christmas came up on us fast. The gifts were ready and we were able to get out and about with the Tahoe. We went to Kehau and James house for Christmas eve. We have a less traditional dinner with Kai's family. This year it was Chinese food and your favorite sports team attire, easy for us! Christmas morning Kekoa woke about 8am. He was excited about his remote control Speed Racer car that Santa left for him. My parents come over to open gifts with us and soon My brother and his family came by too. We finished up and soon after went to my parents house for the day having the traditional turkey dinner, Yum! It was a great Christmas!
With the weather, Kaimi worked like normal and I tryed but most my clients weren't able to get to me, witch made for a busy week before new year. We decided to relax on New Years eve. We went to dinner with my family at Lil' Cooperstown, our favorite place, then just stayed home. It was nice.
Now we are in a new year, wow, how fast a year goes! I hope everyone had a great holiday season, Have a Happy 2009!

Neighborhood.

Saturday it snowed, and snowed, and snowed. It was a winter wonderland. Luckily we have great neighbors. We started off by going over to the Kelly's Kd Christmas party. Kekoa decorated cookies, made a reindeer candy dish and some reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn on Christmas eve. (Good job Amber on the party) Then we didn't have anything else to do so we just stayed and visited for most of the day, ordering pizza to be delivered...sorry delivery driver lady. After lunch we went outside and played in the snow, which was about 8in or so by this time. All our neighbor friends came out and played. We decided since the Brown's were not going to be having there Bunco party due to the weather we would all just have it over at our house with each other. It was a BLAST!
It is a great feeling to have neighbors you are your friends too! I love my neighborhood, not many people can say that. I enjoy being stuck at home knowing there are lots of friends around I can call if I need anything or just want to have the kids play so the adults can have a break. To all my Sandra Loop Neighbors...Thank you!

Snowday!

Day for Christmas tree.

Thanksgiving.

This is our kind of Thanksgiving, Camping at South Beach. We gathered in my parents 5th wheel for our feast. Ham, potato's, green beans...the works. Yummy!
Once again we had a nice November weekend. A little rain but sunshine too.

I Love the bridge in the background of this pic of Kekoa and his cousins:)
